Women’s Services

Our women’s services are all provided in dedicated, self contained buildings. This affords women maximum privacy, dignity and a feeling of safety in a place where they can begin the journey to recovery.

Alpha Hospital Bury provides low and medium secure women’s services for women with highly complex needs who are detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) amended 2007.

It also provides the only specialist Deaf service for women who require assessment and treatment in a gender specific medium secure setting in the UK.

Alpha Hospital Sheffield and Woking have dedicated services for women who suffer from a personality disorder.
