Benefits

Alpha Hospitals is a highly ethical employer and promotes multi-disciplinary team working and openness amongst its staff. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment in which staff can develop personally and professionally. Each member of the team is valued as an individual and this is supported through the implementation of personal development plans which help staff grow and recognise their potential.

Alpha Hospitals offer a range of benefits which include the following:

Company Pension Scheme

All employees are entitled to join the Group Personal Pension plan following the successful completion of their probationary period (6 months). Alpha Hospitals will contribute 3% to the plan and the employee must contribute a minimum of 1.5% up to a maximum 100% but subject to HM Revenue & Customs limits.

Company Health Plan

Alpha Hospitals provides a healthcare plan which employees are entitled to join after their probationary period. The plan offers valuable assistance towards the cost of dental treatment, optical services, physiotherapy, acupuncture, osteopathy, chiropractic services and consultations.

Death in Service Cover

Alpha Hospitals offers all employees immediate death in service cover which amounts to three times the base salary. This is paid to a nominated beneficiary.

Income Protection

Alpha Hospitals provides a complimentary income protection scheme in the case of long term sickness or disability. The scheme provides employees with 50% of their base salary for up to 2 years.

Holiday

In addition to normal holiday allocation, Alpha Hospitals also offers every employee a paid day off on their birthday.

Staff Meals

Staff will be entitled to a meal while on duty.

Travel Expenses for Relocation

Alpha Hospitals recognises the need to recruit and retain high calibre staff. Subsequently, some clinical staff may be joining the team from further afield. In these cases, Alpha Hospitals will consider covering some costs towards your initial train or coach journey when you move to the local area prior to starting your employment.

Accommodation

In order to help clinical staff settle in their new positions and in the area, Alpha Hospitals can arrange local accommodation.

Training and Personal Development

Employees will take part in a paid induction. This induction will orientate you to the site you will be working at and Alpha Hospitals. You will attend statutory training during this period as well as induction to the policies and procedures of Alpha Hospitals. You will also have the opportunity to meet individually with your line manager to further discuss your personal aims and objectives for the training year ahead.

Opportunities for Personal Development

Alpha Hospitals plans to open further hospitals across England and Wales. There will be opportunities for staff to take part in secondments and to apply for posts in other parts of the group. All posts will be advertised internally before external candidates are invited to apply.
