Prison In-Reach Services at HMP Bronzefield

HMP Bronzefield was opened by Kalyx in 2004 and it is the only privately managed purpose-built prison for women in the UK. Bronzefield is a local prison, taking prisoners directly from the courts and holds a wide range of female offenders, including remand, sentenced and restricted status women. It also has a 12 bed mother and baby unit, accommodating children up to 18 months old.

Prison In-Reach Services

Alpha Hospitals works in conjunction with NHS Surrey at HMP Bronzefield to provide a comprehensive nurse-led prison in-reach mental health service. The main aim of the service is to improve the mental health services delivered within the prison setting with a particular focus on caring for those with enduring mental illness.

The Alpha Hospitals in-reach team works with the prison to meet all appropriate prison indicators as well as reporting against other national standards.
